Home For Mentally Changelled Boys

Hello all,

Last week i went to this "home" for mentally changelled boys and it was really a nice experience so i would like to invite all of you, if you have any free time weekday in the morning will be great or sundays around 3:45pm, only what u need to do is spend time with the kids, playing cricket or football or just help them to trace some drawings , or just be with them. anything make them happy.
a little bit about this "Home":
it is a gov run home for mentally changelled boys (under 18)who have been abandoned by their families, these boys mostly come from poor families and their families have not idea what to do with them so either abandon them or leave them here. most of these boys are barely visited by their parents or family.
the Govt home in it's present state should only handle about 20 boys but currently has about 70 boys and only about 2-3 carers. the standard children to carer ratio for a speacil needs home is 1 carer for every 4 kids, here the ratio is about 1 carer for every 35 - 40 kids!
so the care given to the kids is quite bad, most of the washing or cleaning of the boys and the facility is done by the older boyos who are mildly mentally challenged .
there are a group of volunteers who last year organized a birthday party to all of the kids cuz they never celebrated it before. and every week they go and spend time with them.

So if u have any free time and want to join them , let me know , if u have a prob with transportation we can meet in a place and then all of us go together.
by the way it is only 1 and half hour we can be there.

besos
Cintia

Authentic Italian Cooking or German Classes :-)

Hi there!

I am an Italian born and raised in Zurich, Switzerland. My parents owned two, now one, Italian Restaurant. At an early age already I was taught the specialities of the Italian Cuisine and how to produce them. I have been cooking very often with friends and taught them the Italian way of cooking - which, of course, everyone loved! I love to share the old knowledge about Pizza, Pasta and so on, and to bring a little bit of the 'Italian way of living' to India :-)

Hi Everyone, I have just arrived in BLR this week and was hoping to hit the ground running. After spending 2 years in Pune i was hoping for some friendly advice on local areas etc. i am located in the Whitefield area and being Scottish i naturally want to know the good places to get a good drink and a laugh at the weekends. World Cup upon us where will be good to watch it, where are the best bars in general?! Any advice would be welcome....
