Drive around the Western Ghats in the Monsoons for a couple of days- need a group of people

Hello,

Planning to take a few cars and drive around the beautiful Western Ghats in the monsoon rains- flexible with dates and days, need a group of people to make it fun and to keep it within reasonable budget.

Makutta Ghat road- Brahmagiri Wildlife sanctuary.

Especially need one or two travelers who are excellent with maps, planning the routes, making sure we don't get lost, maybe hire drivers who knows those areas well, we will be in forests, hills and valleys, could be landslides so we need efficient, careful drivers.

Stop at budget home stays for the night then continue to drive through the beautiful scenery in the mornings.

Any takers and planners? Fun-loving and adventurous people please email me asap.

Ciao

Oh and I forgot to mention there is the small matter of many leeches during the monsoons in these areas. (-:

Hi Ria,

I would be interested but I just have time on the weekends.

Cheers, Britta

HI Ria,

But I also just have time on the weekends.

Please keep me posted!

Hello Everyone,

I heard from reliable sources that there are Naxalite activities around the Western Ghats and being expats, were advised not to travel in that direction.

So I did a monsoon trip by a Scorpio car to Goa through Karwar. Had a wonderful time experiencing the lashing, torrential rains of the monsoons in Goa.

I will be free to travel again sometime in August, if any of you are interested, we can plan somewhere.

Weekends or weekdays are fine with me, if all of you are up to it, let's come up with a place and go for it.

Ciao

Ria
